GESM celebrates the German tradition of the Adventskranz (Advent Wreath), marking the start of the yuletide season with a festive wreath! On December 2, our school community came together to light the first of four candles, symbolizing hope, peace, joy, and love. Mr. Veith Böttcher led the ceremony, with beautiful music from our primary schoolers, accompanied by Teachers Sunshine and Vince on guitar. We'll be lighting the remaining three candles in the coming weeks leading up to Christmas Day!
The Adventskranz is a traditional German decoration with four candles on a wreath of evergreen, symbolizing the four weeks of Advent leading to Christmas.
