Celebrating Diversity: Grade 3's Outstanding PYP Assembly

by Ms. Rebecca Gillen, Mr. Jason Farrell and Ms. Juliano

The recent PYP Assembly featuring Grades 3A and 3B, along with special guests from Klasse 3D, was a remarkable celebration of culture and identity. As the students inquired into how cultures and beliefs shape who we are, they explored the various festivities that reflect the richness of our diverse backgrounds.

Through this assembly, our Grade 3 students engaged deeply with the IB PYP Approaches to Learning. They showcased their communication, social, self-management, research, and thinking skills, demonstrating a high level of collaboration and creativity. Each performance not only highlighted their hard work but also emphasized the importance of understanding and appreciating the uniqueness of others.

What stood out most was the shared message of unity despite our differences. The assembly beautifully illustrated that, regardless of our backgrounds and beliefs, we all value fundamental principles such as family, respect, honor, and community.

Congratulations to Grade 3A and 3B for their outstanding performance! A special shoutout to all our Unit 1 Awardees, who exemplified the spirit of inquiry and collaboration. We look forward to more inspiring events that celebrate our diverse community!
