March 14 was a special day as the French School and German School came together to celebrate Filipino culture through the Palarong Pinoy celebration! It was a day filled with excitement, laughter, and discovery as we experienced traditional Filipino games and food.
The children from Early Years and Primary had an amazing time going through different game stations, where they got to try classic Filipino childhood games such as tumbang preso, luksong lubid, gulong at patpat, jolen, lastiko, kadang-kadang, and karera ng sako. Each game challenged our skills in balance, coordination, and teamwork while making sure we had lots of fun!
But the celebration didn’t stop there—we also got to taste delicious Filipino food! For many of us, it was our first time trying these flavors, making the experience even more special.
It was a wonderful day of learning and play, and we truly enjoyed immersing ourselves in Filipino traditions. Palarong Pinoy gave us not just a chance to play but also a deeper appreciation for the rich culture of the Philippines.
