The theater group of Class 5E at the German European School Manila presented an impressive performance on the theme “Christmas Around the World” on the last school day before the Christmas break. At a school that proudly unites 47 different nationalities, the diversity of Christmas traditions from around the globe took center stage.
Under the direction of Ms. Ute Massow, the students enthusiastically showcased the customs of their home countries. From the festive piñata in Mexico to the intricate lanterns in Egypt, the familial celebrations in Turkey, and the elaborately decorated houses in the USA, the performance offered a colorful and educational program.
The emotional highlight was the joint singing of “Silent Night” in both German and English. The presentation was a wonderful example of cultural exchange and community spirit at the German European School Manila.
