On March 22nd, the AULA buzzed with creative energy as the Grade 12 IBDP Art Exhibition unfolded, showcasing the dedication and artistic exploration. Four students, each with a unique theme, presented their final artworks, offering a diverse array of perspectives under the overarching theme, "The Past, Present, Future."
Alyana from IBCP, delved into the complexities of human emotions through her artwork. Sofia's exploration of the theme of death was both poignant and thought-provoking. Through her art, she delved into the existential questions surrounding mortality, challenging viewers to confront their own perceptions of life and death. William's paintings and sculptures centered around the theme of dreams, inviting viewers into a world of imagination and possibility. His intricate creations sparked conversations about the nature of reality and the power of the subconscious mind. Alec's black and white photographs offered a unique storytelling experience, capturing moments of life in Manila.
The exhibition served not only as a showcase of artistic talent but also as an integral component of the students' Internal Assessment (IA), which accounts for 40% of their overall marks in Visual Arts. Through their creative expressions, the students demonstrated not only their technical skills but also their ability to communicate complex ideas and emotions through art.
