The German European School Manila (GESM) is excited to announce the opening of six new classrooms, two offices, and a grass-turfed play area, totaling 400 square meters of additional space for students in the newly renovated Surinam 1 building. This new area currently accommodates students from Grades 8D to 10D, the children of Vorschule and Pre-Primary, as well as the offices of the German Secondary Head Frau Massow, the EAL Secondary Teacher Mrs. Malina.
Some parents had the chance to see the new facilities during the welcome BBQ and parent evening, and feedback has been very positive.
In the near future, the school will expand further, adding another 150 square meters of space with the opening of the third floor. This expansion will include a roof deck and a small auditorium, offering more opportunities for learning and community engagement.
