On Saturday, August 31 -- right between two stormy weeks -- the German European School Manila (GESM) hosted a lively Welcome BBQ, bringing together parents, students, and teachers to celebrate the start of the school year. Under sunny skies, the event featured live music, karaoke, swimming, face painting, cold drinks and a variety of delicious food stalls.
Beyond the fun, the BBQ played an important role in building personal connections within the school community. It gave new families the chance to meet fellow parents, teachers, administrators, and their children's classmates. This warm and welcoming atmosphere helped create strong relationships that will enrich the school experience for everyone throughout the year. It was the perfect way to kick off the new school year before the storms rolled in!
