GESM launches Campus TV

17 September 2021

As a way to bring the school community closer together, the German European School Manila (GESM) launched "GESM Campus TV" last Friday, Sept 10 in an assembly attended by the whole school!

GESM Campus TV is a planned series of videos created by, for and about the school. It aims to foster collaboration between students, teachers and parents, and feature projects and activities classes are involved or engaged in.

Moreover, it aims to be a platform for students with an inclination in video production, vlogging, broadcasting and other related skills to explore and train their interests. A number of GESM students have started their own YouTube channel since schooling transitioned online, and computer literacy skyrocketed among everyone. GESM then aims to hone these inclinations and provide an avenue for students who want to try these out in a safe and guided atmosphere.

Episodes of GESM Campus TV will be uploaded on the school's official YouTube channel on a regular basis. And general viewing of episodes will be announced periodically.

Pilot Episode

GESM Campus TV's very first episode was streamed for everyone's viewing last Friday, September 10 via Zoom. The "broadcast" was attended by an estimated 280 students, parents and teachers; and was subsequently uploaded on YouTube where it has since garnered more than a couple hundred views.

The episode featured Head of School Mr. Christoph-Boris Frank touring the campus with Head of Administration Mr. Volker Ross to check out the many upgrades and renovations being undertaken to classrooms and other facilities.
