GESM Student-Led Soirée Strikes a Chord for Charity


In a noteworthy initiative, Grade 11 students from the German European School Manila (GESM) orchestrated a memorable Soirée on March 7, 2024. The event, held at the esteemed German Club in Manila, offered an evening of music, laughter, and a commitment to giving back.


Commencing at 7:00 PM, attendees enjoyed the inviting atmosphere of the German Club. The PHP 1,200 entry ticket included access to a delightful buffet and a complimentary raffle entry for a chance to win prizes.


The student-led project showcased musical performances by talented GESM Secondary students from various grade levels. The buffet spread pleased the palate, while additional raffle tickets at ₱200 each provided more opportunities to win prizes, generously sponsored.


The philanthropic focus of the event was evident, with all profits dedicated to supporting the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). This reflected the students' commitment to making a positive impact on society.


The organizers reported that tickets were sold out, underscoring the success of the Soirée. Attendees were treated to a vibrant evening, marked by the diverse talents of students and the collective effort to contribute to a charitable cause.


The GESM Soirée, with its emphasis on community, charitable giving, and student involvement, left a positive impact on the GESM community and showcased the power of student-led initiatives.
