GESM U-15 Basketball Enjoys Back-to-Back Wins!

On Saturday, March 8th and the 29th, GESM’s U-15 Boys Basketball team tasted victory twice in MISAA competition. Starting off the action on the 8th at the Beacon School court, the Division 2 boys squared off with the Domuschola International School team. Running out to a 20-2 start in the first quarter, the boys played a solid game en route to a final convincing victory of 59-6.

Following that win, the boys faced stiffer opposition in the form of Chinese International School. Despite jumping out to a small lead, the game’s outcome was in doubt until some clutch GESM baskets in the final quarter sealed the second straight “W” with a final tally of 39-32 in our favour.   Suiting up for GESM were Santi (6E), Yuto (6E), San (8E), Pablo (8E), Jio (6E), Iago (8E), Sebastian (8E), Deacon (8E), Brandon (8E) and Max (9D). 

After some tough games early in MISAA competition, the two wins boosted the boys to a .500 win percentage in the league this year. The team are excited to see where the momentum will lead us with the possibility of tournament action ahead!
