On February 7, our Grade 1E students hosted an exciting PYP assembly which featured their German section counterpart, Klasse 1D. The event showcased their learning under the theme "How We Express Ourselves." The assembly featured skits and performances, with one of the highlights being a reenactment of the pineapple creation myth from the Philippines.
The students demonstrated their growing German language skills and even learned a bit of Tagalog to enhance their performance, showing both their appreciation for Philippine culture and their commitment to learning.
The assembly marked the end of Term 1, where students reflected on their learnings in the third unit of the year. After the performance, the school also took the opportunity to award the IB Learner Profile and recognize the Term 1 Model Student Awardees for their outstanding efforts.
We are incredibly proud of our first-graders for their hard work, creativity, and teamwork in making this assembly a memorable success!
