Students collaborate with students for International Women's Day

Aktualisiert: 11. Apr. 2022

by Juliette Hoschka, IB-1 (and contributions from Anita Granados)

In honor of International Women's Day, a couple of classmates and myself volunteered to assist third-graders with writing a letter to the world about gender inequality. I was really impressed by their strong, passionate opinions about sexism, and it was heartwarming to see the younger generation care so deeply about social issues. The letters we wrote together were enlightening, and I was impressed by their attitudes towards feminism. I hope to see changes in our generation's point of view towards misogyny moving forward.

The letter-writing campaign that 11th-grader Juliette describes above is only one of a series of activities and projects done by Grade 3i in collaboration with co-students from IB-1 (Grade 11). The students made a series of interviews, video projects and other activities that explored how we as a school can do our part in the pursuit of gender equality. Below is a video that sums up the week-long project.
