"T" is for "tree": EYP kids make tree art with leaf prints

by Carmel Andrada | 29 Jan 2021

We made trees out of leaf prints to learn more about the letter T! 🌳 We collected some small to medium-sized leaves, both fresh and fallen leaves for this craft. Using the sides of the stump, we made neat looking tree trunks! Next, we positioned a leaf bottom side up and painted the entire surface of the leaf. We noticed how the leaf's veins are raised on this side. Last step was to place the leaf on the paper, pressing firmly on the leaf to transfer the paint onto the paper. It was such a fun way to learn about the letter T! We even made a tongue twister while we were working; three tree trunks...three tree trunks!
