Recently, GESM had the pleasure of hosting two informative visits, offering valuable insights into university life and career pathways in both Asia and Europe.
On September 19, Richard Li from Hong Kong University (HKU) visited the school to deliver an engaging presentation. He spoke about HKU's strengths, such as its academic excellence, vibrant campus life, and the diversity of its student body. Li also addressed the admissions process, challenges faced by foreign nationals, and the support system in place for international students. This session gave Grade 11 and 12 students a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities available at HKU.
On September 24, two GESM alumni, Bea Preinsberger and Adrian Misselwitz, returned to speak with students. Both graduated in 2018 and shared their experiences of studying in Germany, specifically in Munich. Bea recently completed her studies in Molecular Biology, while Adrian is pursuing a postgraduate degree in Physics. They discussed university life in Germany, the academic system, and how their GESM education prepared them for the challenges ahead. Their visit offered Grade 11 and 12 students a real-world perspective on studying abroad, particularly in the sciences.
Both visits provided GESM students with invaluable insights, helping them explore diverse academic paths as they plan for their futures.
